What is Oral Leukoplakia?

Plaque, keratin, and abnormal patch development appear on the mucous membrane of the oral cavity in leukoplakia, commonly known as “leukokeratosis” or “leukoplasia.”

It’s marked by the appearance of irregular white patches on the mucosal linings, as well as discomfort, swelling, and tenderness.

When the situation becomes serious, fluid-filled blisters can form.
