What are the complications after dental surgery?

The following symptoms may be observed after dental surgery:

  • Pain that lasts for 3 to 7 days

  • Within 2-3 days after surgery, the jaw and cheeks swell.

  • Bruising can be seen on the cheeks, forehead, or upper body (ecchymosis).

  • Saliva with a bloody tint is made.

  • a blood clot.

  • The jaw stiffness lasted a couple of days.

  • Swallowing problems (soft food recommended in the post-surgery period)

  • Teeth of high sensitivity

  • About a week, you have bad breath

  • Soft-tissue infections may cause cellulitis, hemorrhage, or abscess forming.

  • Displacement of a neighboring tooth

  • Mandible (lower jawbone) or maxilla fracture (upper jaw bone)
