What are Stretch marks?

Women more than men have stretch marks on their bodies somehow. Stretch marks in women who have endured pregnancy are especially common. There are striations or lines that form that have undergone abrupt stretching of some parts of the skin.

Actually, these markings are wounds that develop from the breakage of the skin’s middle layer as it is required to spread without being sufficiently prepared for it. Normally, to a considerable degree, the skin has the inherent capacity to stretch.

Stretch marks occur when the stretching forces surpass the skin’s natural potential or when the person has a medical disorder that jeopardizes their skin’s elasticity.

The marks themselves are absolutely harmless and will cause no further problems for you. However, as a result of the condition, if there is an underlying medical concern that is responsible for the markings, you can suffer from symptoms.
