Hai. People say taking too many naps can possibly cause weight gain? Is that true?
Sleepers of both short and long duration has been linked to weight gain. Long-term sleepers also reported a slightly higher rise in body weight (71%), waist circumference (47%) and body fat percentage (94%) relative to the increase in average sleepers.Short- and long-term sleepers were 35 percent and 25 percent more likely than normal-duration sleepers to have a 5 kg weight gain, respectively.
In summary, the present study provides evidence that both short and long sleep periods predict higher body weight and fat gain in adults, even after possible covariates have been modified
