Do exercise postpones knee replacement surgery?

Does daily exercise prolong the need for knee replacement?

Unfortunately, exercising doesn’t prolong the need for knee replacement surgery. However, daily exercise plays a very important role in the treatment of arthritis. Because part of the arthritic cycle includes the development of bone spurs and eventual loss of motion, exercise is important to keep the joints in motion. Joint replacement surgery can reliably reduce pain, but it can not effectively restore range of motion.
